PLEASE READ THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE CAREFULLY. BY USING THE ESERVICE CENTER BILL PAYMENT SERVICE, YOU AGREE TO THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS.
These terms and conditions of use may be changed in the future without further notice. Further, these terms and conditions apply exclusively to your access to,
and use of, this service or associated Web sites and do not alter in any way the terms or conditions of any other agreement you may have with Washington Gas
Light Company ("WGL") for products, services or otherwise.
WGL's eService Center Bill Payment service is provided in part with assistance from Wells Fargo Bank and Online Resources. Wells Fargo Bank and/or Online Resources will use information collected from you to assist WGL
in processing your payments according to the terms set forth herein.
User I.D. and Password
Use of the eService Center requires both your full name ("User I.D.") and a unique sign-on password ("Password") that you chose during the registration process.
Each User I.D. and corresponding Password can only be used by one individual or entity.
You agree to be solely responsible for the confidentiality and use of your Password, as well as for (i) any communications transmitted to WGL, Wells Fargo Bank, Online Resources or any
third party from your Password, (ii) any funds transfers authorized through the eService Center using your Password, (iii) any account activity using your
Password, and (iv) any other access to the Wells Fargo Bank, Online Resources, WGL, or the eService Center systems using your Password.
As a condition of use, you agree to tell us AT ONCE if you believe your Password has been lost or stolen or that anyone has accessed or has tried to access
your account without your permission. You may contact us 24 hours a day here:
WGL reserves the right to reset any Passwords that may have been lost or stolen, or for any other reasonable cause.
Use of eService Center
You may use eService Center to pay your WGL bills directly from your checking account or credit card in the amounts and on the days you request. Credit card payments will be processed by Online Resources (Online Resources) and a service fee of $4.55 will be assessed for this service. The maximum amount that can be paid by credit card is $500 per transaction. A notification that your
monthly bill is available on the eService Center system can be sent to your email address with enrollment in eBill. You may then access your account on the
eService Center site to view and electronically pay your bill.
PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT YOUR WASHINGTON GAS ACCOUNT WILL BE CHARGED A RETURN FEE IF YOUR PAYMENT IS RETURNED FOR ANY REASON. YOUR PAYMENT COULD BE RETURNED FOR MANY DIFFERENT REASONS. A FEW EXAMPLES INCLUDE, YOUR PAYMENT COULD BE RETURNED FOR INSUFFICIENT FUNDS, OR BECAUSE YOU TYPED IN THE WRONG BANK ACCOUNT NUMBER OR THE WRONG ROUTING TRANSIT NUMBER. PLEASE VERIFY THAT YOUR BANK ACCOUNT INFORMATION IS CORRECT BEFORE SUBMITTING THE PAYMENT.
WGL will not be responsible for any loss resulting from a cause over which it does not have direct control, including, but not limited to, failure of
electronic or mechanical equipment or communication lines, telephone or other interconnect problems, computer viruses, unauthorized access, theft, operator
errors, severe weather, earthquakes, or natural disasters, strikes or other labor problems, wars or governmental restrictions.
User Representations and Warranties
By registering for eService Center, you represent and warrant that:
(i) You are 18 years old or older;
(ii) You are using your actual identity and that any information you provide to WGL, Wells Fargo Bank and/or Online Resources is accurate and complete;
(iii) Your registration with WGL and use of eService Center will not violate any local, state, national or international laws or regulations.
You shall remain solely liable for the content of any messages or other information you upload or transmit to WGL, Wells Fargo Bank, Online Resources, or the eService Center Bill Payment
Service Web sites, including the interactive areas of the eService Center Bill Payment Service or the associated Web sites. You agree to indemnify and hold
harmless WGL from any claim, action, demand, loss, or damages (including attorneys' fees) made or incurred by any third party arising out of or relating to
your conduct, your violation of these terms and conditions, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
Disclaimer of Warranties
THE ESERVICE CENTER BILL PAYMENT SERVICE AND ASSOCIATED WEB SITES AND THE MATERIALS IN THE ESERVICE CENTER ASSOCIATED WEB SITES ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS"
BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WGL DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, IMPLIED
WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WGL DOES NOT REPRESENT OR WARRANT THAT MATERIALS IN THE ESERVICE
CENTER BILL PAYMENT SERVICE OR THE ASSOCIATED WEB SITES ARE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, RELIABLE, CURRENT, OR ERROR-FREE. WGL DOES NOT REPRESENT OR WARRANT THAT THE
ESERVICE CENTER BILL PAYMENT SERVICE ASSOCIATED WEB SITES OR THEIR SERVER(S) ARE FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
Limitation of Liability
IN NO EVENT SHALL WGL, IT OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, SHAREHOLDERS, OR EMPLOYEES BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, SPECIAL, INDIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, OR ANY OTHER
DAMAGES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF USE, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR LOSS OF DATA, WHETHER IN AN ACTION IN CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING BUT NOT
LIMITED TO NEGLIGENCE), OR OTHERWISE, ARISING OUT OF OR IN ANY WAY CONNECTED WITH THE USE OF THIS WEB SITE OR THE MATERIALS CONTAINED IN, OR ACCESSED THROUGH,
THIS WEB SITE, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY DAMAGES CAUSED BY OR RESULTING FROM RELIANCE BY USER ON ANY INFORMATION OBTAINED FROM WGL, OR THAT RESULTS FROM

EVENT SHALL THE AGGREGATE LIABILITY OF WGL (WHETHER IN CONTRACT, WARRANTY TORT-INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE, WHETHER ACTIVE, PASSIVE, OR IMPUTED-PRODUCT LIABILITY,
STRICT LIABILITY OR OTHER THEORY) ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE USE OF WGL'S WEB SITE EXCEED ANY COMPENSATION YOU PAY, IF ANY, TO WGL FOR ACCESS TO OR
USE OF THIS WEB SITE.
The terms and conditions set forth herein are in addition and are not by way of limitation to any tariffs or other regulations governing the terms and
conditions pursuant to which WGL provides you energy and related services or the terms and conditions pursuant to which WGL provides you use of other WGL
Web sites. You understand and agree that any such tariffs currently in existence or hereinafter created will continue to apply and will govern and control
in the event of any inconsistency or conflict with these terms and conditions.
Modification & Amendments
WGL reserves the right to amend at any time any policies governing the eService Center Bill Payment Service and the associated Web sites, including these
Terms and Conditions, by posting the amended terms and providing notice of such amendments. The amended terms shall be effective immediately after they are
initially posted on this Web site. If you do not accept the amended terms, you must cease using the eService Center Bill Payment Service and the associated
Notwithstanding any of these terms and conditions, WGL reserves the right, without notice and in its sole discretion, to terminate your license to use the
eService Center Bill Payment Service and the associated Web sites, and to block or prevent future access to and use of the eService Center Bill Payment
Service and the associated Web sites.
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions shall be deemed unlawful, void, or for any reason unenforceable, then that provision shall be deemed severable
from these terms and conditions and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions.
